ACS: Over 97 tons of essential items were transported to fire victims throughout Greece free of charge

 

On Monday, September 27, ACS's CSR action for the free transport of essential items to the victims of the catastrophic fires, which occurred recently in our country, was completed, exceeding 97 tons in total shipments.

Specifically, from the 6th of August 2021 to the 25th of September 2021, essential goods of a total weight of 97,447.4 kgr were delivered to our Nationwide Store Network, which were sent through 4,357 free shipments to fire victims throughout Greece. The company warmly thanks organizations, NGOs and Municipalities from all over Greece for their unprecedented response to the ACS initiative, in order to help our fire-affected fellow citizens.

It is reminded that ACS, evaluating the criticality of the situation and being consistent in the immediate response to every emergency and natural disaster in our country, in collaboration with its Nationwide Store Network, had announced on Friday, August 6, that it would offer free transportation services to those agencies / NGOs / Municipalities collecting essential items to send humanitarian aid to the fire victims of the catastrophic fires that hit our country.

This CSR action of ACS is the largest ever carried out by the company, in the context of its Corporate Sustainability policy, which has been consistently followed in recent years for immediate response to emergencies on a nationwide scale. For this reason, the company also expresses its warm thanks to its people in its Store Network, for their invaluable contribution to the smooth completion of this important action.
