ACS gathering humanitarian aid in its stores for the earthquake victims in Turkey-Syria, in collaboration with the Red Cross

As part of ACS's Corporate Social Responsibility strategy for responding to an emergency, and recognizing the enormous humanitarian crisis caused by the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria, the company invites citizens throughout Greece to gather in its stores the following first aid items announced by the Hellenic Red Cross, with the aim of sending them as humanitarian aid to the earthquake victims.

Long-life shelf foods

  • Condensed milk
  • Milk powder for children
  • Canned food of all types
  • Cereals, nuts, flour, pasta, legumes.

Other species

  • Sleeping bags (not used)
  • Blankets (not used)
  • Personal hygiene items (not liquids).

Important clarifications:

  1. Long-life foods should have at least six (6) months as an expiration date.
  2. The collection of the above items in ACS stores starts from Monday 13th February 2023 and will be completed with a relevant announcement from the company.
  3. In order for the ACS stores to accept the free collection of items, the following conditions must be met:
  • maximum number of parcels per sender is five (5) parcels with a total weight of up to twenty (20) kilograms (for all parcels)
  • the items should be packed in closed cardboard boxes and clearly marked "Hellenic Red Cross".

 

The company asks the public to fully comply with the above conditions, so that the action of the Hellenic Red Cross can be implemented smoothly and with the best possible result, which will essentially help our fellow human beings in Turkey and Syria.

 

ACS will continue to support such actions, within the framework of the Corporate Social Responsibility program implemented by the company in recent years, which focuses on 4 social pillars: emergency/natural disaster response and nationwide actions, nature protection, strengthening quality education and highlighting our cultural heritage and supporting vulnerable social groups.
